Bob McDonnell: New Face for the GOP?
On the issue of whether Bob McConnell is the "new face" of the Republican party, I was intially intrigued by the victory he pulled off in VA. However, I have to question how much was due just to voter dissactisfaction. The people of VA will have to be the deciding voice on how he governs. Curbing a Constitutional Crisis
Your first point. I don't quite understand what you mean by "interjecting US troops into a civil war..."

Those who attacked us on 9/11. We are still there to ensure they don't return to power and to give the Afgan people a chance to form a government and society that will not be oppressive and totalitarian. There is no civil war. Just disagreements between tribal factions that exist there on how that government and society should look.

Article I, Section 8:
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and PROVIDE FOR THE COMMON DEFENCE....
Come on, I know you're probably a peacenik and can't stand the military, but providing...
