Mr. Thomas is correct, these beasts deserve no kind of legal protection in our country and giving them the courtesy only makes us appear weak in the eyes of our enemies. He is wrong, however, in suggesting that dispatching them in secret would make us appear strong. We were brutalizing each other in Western Civilization while these people were wandering nomads. It's high time we realize that heritage and show them the same thing they would show us, no mercy.

I have to say that I disagree with Mr. Thomas on this. While I agree that this trial would be interpreted by our enemies as weakness, I fail to see how secret trials resulting in sentences carried out in secret communicates strength. The very fact that they are secret means they wouldn't communicate anything.

I would suggest firstly, that we simply dispense with any semblance of a trial for the simple fact that it is not required. As Mr. Thomas rightly pointed out, these are not "criminals" who robbed a bank; and we would be imputing rights to non-citizens who do not deserve them. What need, then, is there for a trial?
