"A veteran Hill observer who saw the show said that it was “over the top and retarded.”

“The Republicans have come to rely on these sorts of hysterical displays to make a point on policy issues,” he said. “It’s cheap political theater, reminiscent of the annoying hippie protesters that cry and scream in the streets over every little thing.”

Witness how "veteran" politicos actually think of the citizens of this country.

Prediction: November, 2010 we'll be reading something along the lines of:

Someone says "Based upon your article, Mr. Op-Ed person, I'm not going to read any more of your stuff", which you equate to "TH columnists who present opposing views receive death threats, poison pen mail, and hate rants by the thousands when they so much lift one toe from the party line."

The Importance of Family Meals

Like Jo, I'm amazed that this even needs to be said. One or two days a week I usually miss dinner because of the demands of my job, but other than that, my wife and kids know that we're eating together (strangely enough, 90% of the time I do the cooking, not my wife), and if I'm not there, they are eating with my wife. One thing not really mentioned, it's a great time to enjoy your kids. I may not like everything that they do or say, but I do love them and a relaxed family dinner is a great place to nurture that love.
