THAT is why no one wears a hat anymore. The hat check girl has gone the way of the dodo. At one time, places had somewhere a man could leave his hat when he was indoors. Now if he wears a hat to a restaurant, he is stuck with the damned thing. Same with theaters. You go in to watch a movie or a play and spend the entire evening juggling a hat.
