What appears crazy is large numbers of ordinary people campaigning NOT to have a free health care system. Whatever the problems of the UK/French/German health systems they are massively popular.

The problem with Obama's plans are not that they are Socialist but that they patently are not. TV images of protesters holding 'Obama is a socialist' posters makes most people in the UK recoil and scatch their heads.

You have a health crisis in the US. Health Insurance is crippling US firms, the country health bill is bigger than the arms bill. The UK system is far more efficient despite its many faults (don't worry the rich still get to but private health care).

Anyway back to the main post, is it any wonder...

Laslavic I have no idea how you came into being. But let me tell you the existence of angry confused white men like you is a gift for us European leftists.

We want the people of the middle east to throw off US control and run their own affairs. Bush's War of Terror has made that more likely.

We want European voters to look at the redneck crazies on the TV news calling Obama a socialist and denying climate change. Only then do people come to see how truly deluded and undereducated large chunks of America actually is.
