Why shouldn't he surrender to Cuba? He's surrendered to everybody else who hates us. Before he's done, we'll have to stop apologizing to France for making fun of all their surrenders; he's making therm look like Rambo by comparison..
Next thing they'll be saying that the climate is getting warmer.
It's going to be a bumpy ride on that bus with all those bodies underneath it.
Less air time for her to play the race card in the runoff.
I don't know how others react to this, but I can tell janehh that these commercials inserted into the middle of a discussion people are participating in has a negative impact on me. Even if I might otherwise consider the idea, the fact that it's proposed here leads me to rule it out completely. In other words, janehh, troll for business somewhere else.
Holder's regret sounds like a hit man regretting he didn't tell his victim that it was nothing personal (as if that were somehow comforting for the victim) or exonerating for the killer. The moral dimension is the same.
I think it's actually less complicated than that. He's throwing under the bus all Democrats who are so disloyal as to try to distance themselves from him. It's Chicago-style payback, pure and simple. He doesn't need them any more, and loyalty to ANYONE ELSE has never been Barack Obama's strong suit.

DWS: Dems Will Hold the Senate

He put himself on the ballot during his speech at Northwestern. DWS is right. On Halloween, the Great Opumpkin will rise from pumpkin patches all over the nation so that on election day he can give the gift of re-election to all good Democratic senatorial candidates (the ones who admit having voted for him).
I write in despair from Hellinois, where our governors make our license plates. The fact that Quinn is poised to be re-elected is a testament to the lunacy of Illinois voters and the incompetency of Rauner and the Illinois Republican Party. Quinn would lose a race to a ham sandwich by 40 points. Help. help, let me out of here!
