As a product of the public school system (my four kids, too)..I have great respect for most teachers. LIke any work force, some are excellent, some are good and some are not so good. I also understand that the 'job' of teaching isn't confined to a 9-6 schedule, 5 days a week. But please understand this, too...those of us in the private sector are working as many hours (perhaps more) than the average teacher...while paying for a greater percentage of our benefits w/all but stagnant pay. Additionally, we are also carrying the public sector w/our taxes...just to let you know...the well is dry...we are all hurting and we all need to throw in...including, the unions that are taking YOUR hard earned dollars. Tanisha...you are absolutely correct! However, the bill of goods that has been sold to the minority/poor communities about us old fat white guys is too entrenched to break the chains. Yes that is a slavery metaphor - because the net effect of the Sharptonss, Jacksons, etc. has been the 21st century of slavery. This, by the way, does not just include the black community, it includes all people that cannot see passed the end of their poverty.

We must keep the poor down and on the dole...doesn't matter whether you're black, white or green. When it comes to 'saftey to others' issues...piloting a plane or a ship, driving a vehicle, (perhaps shaving someone's neck)...Licensing to some degree is necessary. When talking about a florist...it is even more crucial that testing and licensing be done! I mean, what if, as a florist, I miss removing a thorn from a rose. Some unsuspecting slug gets a finger pr*ck from that thorn, it gets infected and has to be rushed to the hospital. Once at the hospital the doctor on duty has to run a whole battery of tests to insure he doesn't get sued. There go your healthcare costs through the roof...I thnik I've just changed my mind...maybe Obummercare should be passed...hmmmmm
