Don't bring up facts Bob. These guys are too wired in to the lies. It will only make them confused and mad.
It's Obama's fault.
All the millionaires on hear who don't want to pay a little more for taxes need to calm down and realize that you are not hurting, nor are you hiring. If we cut out tax LOOPHOLES we will gain the revenue that the majority of Americans want to see right along side the spending cuts that most Americans want to see. A little of both is what most Americans want. Raising taxes is not what anyone WANTS. But most people see that wealthy citizens are doing quite well and would ask them to maybe pay what they were paying when we were running a deficit nearly 20 years ago. Heck, I'm no millionaire, but I wouldn't mind to sacrifice some money to avert a national crisis that could screw more of my friends/family.
I wonder how many jobs would have been created if we didn't put some money into the recovery act. Of course banks would magically start lending with less money and businesses would higher more people with less money. Makes sense...no?

The Mosque Controversy

End of discussion as far as the building is concerned. For those who feel it shouldn't be build in this "historical" building because it was hit by some debris, then by-all-means register the building as such. This seems like an overreaching claim because a lot of buildings in the area got hit by debris including some of the other churches, synagogues, and temples. For those...

America: Still Talking About Race

I like articles like this. They are great for discussing what must be a tired debate. The only thing that strikes me is the attempt to label specific actions in general terms like "This administration has attempted to marginalize its opponents by labeling them as racists" or extreme exaggerations like "a man who promised that his nomination as a candidate for president would be remembered as the moment the planet would heal and the oceans would calm". When statements like these are put in with decent opinion based on facts and history it makes the whole piece a little fishy. I agree with many of JCP's points, but I for one am not tired of the conversations about race. This is an ongoing process. If the discuss started 200 plus years...
