So Much for Transcending Race

A bigger issue, just one of many long term problems of racism. Clue - Even today not many whites live near an MLK street, and there's not any MLK streets in a predominately white subdivision.

A majority of all races agree in MLK Jr's philosophies, why not have MLK streets everywhere, like the bazillons of Lincoln streets? Now, go challenge the developer of your favorite golf course community to name a street Martin Luther King Drive before they name one Tiger Woods Drive.

The biggest lie is that we don't have the freedom to choose. If we have the freedom to make bad choices, then we have the freedom to make good choices. It's sad that the bad choices we're free to make enslave us. The very thing we blame all our problems...

Cash for Clunkers, RIP

Never give a friend's money to somebody with a history of being untrustworthy, that you also don't trust at the time you give them money. That's exactly what our Government did, and we will pay for violating that simple principle. The car companies promised to do better for 30 years, but let other companies achieve what they promised to achieve. Instead they built a history of mistrust, as they missed death several times before. Facing their most serious end, they again begged for help while promising to do good. So the Government gave them somebody else's money (our taxes), and put Government officials on their board because the mistrust was so high. Dumb! Again, never give a friend's money to somebody with a history of being...

Cash for Clunkers, RIP. That is the wish of Democrats. Out of sight out of mind. Avoiding a fundamental business element that's needed to verify success of a huge rare investment. It's called an independent follow-up audit. RIP indeed without a follow-up audit. It was simply too critical and too much money not to follow-up on. Have you wondered if all were disposed of properly? We struggled with coordinating payment to the dealers, so fair to assume disposal is not going as promised. Making it fair (fundamental) to investigate if participants are getting money or allowed shortcuts to keep a flaw quiet (RIP). Did the oil companies know this? I suspect many clunkers are on the roads of Mexicon, Cuba, and Russia. Are drivers using more gas...

For now Cash for Clunkers had an expected consequence that was hushed. People are driving nearly double the miles in their new vehicle, buying more gas than for their clunker. You think oil companies knew this? Have you wondered about the status of the clunkers? All getting recycled as promised? Or many on the roads of Mexico, Cuba, Russia? Any lawsuits arising that taxpayers will fund?

So Much for Transcending Race

Danny192 Wrote: Nov 28, 2009 11:52 PM
I brought up was just another simple and accurate way to gauge our progress to overcome black/white racism. It was to say we don't need blacks and whites getting rich off new expensive research to show us where the US is on racism. A simple reliable inexpensive and accurate measure is the lack of whites in neighborhoods with streets named Martin Luther King, and the lack of streets named Martin Luther King in white neighborhoods.

As you point out, doing this just to be doing it will not fix racism. Actually, that would make it worse. Consider that a majority of whites in the US say they are not racists and today say they support MLK's philosophies. And don't want their children to be racists. So during this racial...

All of you out there know that whenever the evil mindset of racism was born, regardless of when, where, or the races involved, they never had a clue how many ways that evil would would hurt all races forever, the world forever.

Doesn't matter if there's a Jesus God or not, societies must follow a godly principle for racism to end. No desire to end racism, or promoting it, tends to prop up the evolution theory.

If racism is evolution based, do evolutionists desire an end to it? Tampering and aligning themselves with biblical principles? What's a bit more tampering in the name of decency, eh? Considering our current state of evolution, just say'n. Which came first, tampering or evolution? I vote to continue tampering and...

How Mexico Treats Illegal Aliens

Danny192 Wrote: Apr 29, 2010 12:15 PM
The Mexican drug cartel kills people to very effectively, but illegally, change the minds of other Mexicans.

The US can use the same tactic legally along the border. It will be tough killing women and kids invading America, but more effective at changing the minds of others.

The path of least resistance on the Mexican border is paying off in greater ways for the drug cartel running Mexico. Our Mexican border has been so open so long that global people smuggling businesses now use that route. People smuggling is now very lucrative for the drug cartel in Mexico.

The trouble with the US, is the people. Too many believe that all the damage done to us is acceptable because we buy into the BS that "it's the times we live...

Crist Goes Independent: Now What?

Danny192 Wrote: Apr 29, 2010 11:30 AM
Crist is too slick for his own good and for Florida and America. He's so slick I get very uncomfortable listening to him in any of his disguises. And even more uncomfortable watching him. So contrived are his expressions and mannerisms.

But brave he is, maybe. Any independent or 3rd party person will be attacked and beat to a pulp by both parties and their corporate and media supporters. It will be very ugly and relentless bipartisanship assualt so to put fear in others that want to represent a 3rd party.

The only hope for America is that the 3rd party can keep the current 2 parties yelling and screaming very loudly up to election day. When they are loud, they are scared. They are scared when the 3rd party is a serious...
I feel there are 20 million people in the US with enough in there savings plans that they would spend $100,000 in one year, if no early withdrawal fee or taxes. And would spend it on US products, excluding certain products, to assure full STIMULATION.

There are 78 million baby boomers. Fair to assume 13% saved wisely over their 30 + years of work. That's $1 trillion. Actually I'm feeling more than 13% of baby boomers can afford to take $100,000 out of their savings plan tax free to invest in things to stimulate the economy.

And I think there's enough in the other groups immediately ahead of and behind baby boomers that would take advantage of this, and dump another trillion in the economy.

Business cyles we know...
Last year you may recall Pelosi laughing off a suggestion from a voter to let Americans take money from savings plans tax free to help stimulate the economy. With her trademark smirk she also belittled the competency of people intelligent enough to save money to make good choices if that were done.

So now they ask for help. I say again, wave all taxes, including early withdrawal, on $100,000 from savings plans. The money money must be spent in a year and spent on products made in the US. Exempt the purcahse of intangible stuff like booze, cigarettes, food, drugs, etc. Folks must have receipts to turn at tax time, otherwise you pay tax as normal. If 20 million did this, that alone would quickly dump 2 trillion dollars into the...
