For now Cash for Clunkers had an expected consequence that was hushed. People are driving nearly double the miles in their new vehicle, buying more gas than for their clunker. You think oil companies knew this? Have you wondered about the status of the clunkers? All getting recycled as promised? Or many on the roads of Mexico, Cuba, Russia? The Mexican drug cartel kills people to very effectively, but illegally, change the minds of other Mexicans.

The US can use the same tactic legally along the border. It will be tough killing women and kids invading America, but more effective at changing the minds of others.

The path of least resistance on the Mexican border is paying off in greater ways for the drug cartel running Mexico. Our Mexican border has been so open so long that global people smuggling businesses now use that route. People smuggling is now very lucrative for the drug cartel in Mexico.

I feel there are 20 million people in the US with enough in there savings plans that they would spend $100,000 in one year, if no early withdrawal fee or taxes. And would spend it on US products, excluding certain products, to assure full STIMULATION.

There are 78 million baby boomers. Fair to assume 13% saved wisely over their 30 + years of work. That's $1 trillion. Actually I'm feeling more than 13% of baby boomers can afford to take $100,000 out of their savings plan tax free to invest in things to stimulate the economy.

And I think there's enough in the other groups immediately ahead of and behind baby boomers that would take advantage of this, and dump another trillion in the economy.
