Flat screens, casinos, drugs and alcohol. The so called poor could care less because their WIC coupons, free school lunches, rent subsidies, food stamps and utility bill assistance is not subjct to taxes
The populace demands medicare and social security, yet complain when they have to pay the 2% tax that will fund it. The public has been perfectly dumbed down to where they fully belive everytuhing from the Government is free

So more deficit spending that will be paid for by a tax of the lowering of the purchasing power of the dollar. Even more important, the 2% temoprary payroll tax deduction was earmarked for social security benefits. That will assure that the program will fail sooner than its original projections. Congradulations...the mess we are in just got worse
The poor need to take a trip to Haiti and see what poor is all about.

When reading all of this I am remined of the so called "milk cliff" that also is threatened to hit. Of course this will not bother the WIC set because they could care less about the price of dairy products. Once again the welfare class come up on top while the taxpaying class will be on the bottom drinking water

With little to no interest rates paid on savings thanks to Obama/Bernanke many seniors have had their life savings purchasing powers eradicated. The 2% reduction in the FICA contributions will assure that already troubled Social security will meet its demise even sooner. Now the cliff will go after their dividends meaning we have got to the point where those that saved for retirment will sdoon become beholden to the Government's graces to support them in their old age. Amazingly so many seniors voted for this though...it's as if they wanted it. Who would have thought?
The dairy support program is just another of FDRs failed policies that have survived riddled with abuse and waste. The so called small family farms are basically tax dodges for wealthy individuals seeking to live like gentlemen farmers at public expense. The larger corporate farmers can produce milk cheaper and more efficiently. However ithe the farm supports etc these large corporate farmers have concerned themselves with harvesting tax dollars rather than pursuing the less profitable free market activities. Eliminate all, not some, meaning each and every one of the supports and watch the price of milk drop to record lows in real terms as te technological advances take place in milk production
I have a problem with those that complain about what bush did and what the current crew is doing. In case you didn't know Bush is no longer in power. Obama is entering his second term...it's Obama's fault now and he chooses to make it worse...it's no longer a Bush thing
The way to fix deficits is by raising taxes and cutting spending. Going over the cliff is a solution. To bad that so many prefer to finger point touting half baked truth pies instead of facing the reality that they, the voters, are at fault. Lets go over the cliff. Across the board spending cuts are as fair as one can get and its time that tax rates are raised on the lower people as well as the ones at the top
