The Message Romney Missed

Reagan blamed Carter for the country's problems during the election and rightly so. Romney should have harped on Obama blaming Bush for everything and make the point--over and over--that the economy and state of the country that Obama inherited from Bush (due to the Barney Frank et al housing crisis and the 911 attacks) is nothing after Obama's 4yrs. Reagan had a very direct and clearly stated way of making his case on a wide range of subjects. Reagan would have made it clear how much the debt has increased under Obama and how much that is per person in the US. It all boils down to: Romney was attacked by negative messages from all sides and failed to defend and Romney did not attack enough. Negative ads win.

Sadly, the media can say anything regardless of its truthfulness and the Masses will believe it. The Labor unions go along with it and there goes the election. There oughta be a law!

The post mortems on the presidential campaign continue to pour in, the ones on the botched Romney effort the more interesting (and more depressing for those of us who supported him). President Obama was clearly vulnerable, and Mitt Romney clearly positioned to defeat him.

So what went wrong? Let me add my analysis. Three words: Message. Messenger. Messaging.

The messenger was flawed, unwilling to take risks, unprepared for the Obama political wrecking machine, left dazed and confused Election Night.

If inept messaging could be deemed a felony, this campaign was a crime against humanity. I've never seen...
