Bravo. Well said. "Anyone determined to bring us a step closer to that mommy state must be given a pass no matter what." Right in line with a quote I posted (#186) from "A Market For Liberty."
Prove to me you are not a mass murderer.
Right on. It's why I've been asking these evil creatures to prove that they are not mass murderers.
Perhaps, the reason you got no responses is because you didn't respond to my request to prove that you are not a mass murderer.
From "The market For Liberty" (Morris/Linda Tennehill)

"A position with even a small amount of power over others is attractive to men who want to wield power over others. A rational man - a productive man with a high degree of self-esteem - will have no desire for such power; he has more interesting and rewarding things to do with his life (and he abhors slavery...of any kind). But a man who has failed to set and reach productive goals, a man who has never done anything worthwhile by his own standards, will often seek to disguise his feelings of inadequacy by taking a position of power in which he can experience the pseudo self-esteem of telling others how to live their lives. So, government, by its very nature, tends to...
I wrote that we spend, about, $700,000,000 per year (on administrative costs) more than is really necessary. The number should have been: "700,000,000,000 (700 Billion, not 700 Million).
...reply to the statment that administrative costs of the "health care" system have increased 10 fold (from 3% to 33%) since the inception of Medicare/Medicaid in 1965. We spend, about, $700,000,000 - per year! - more than is necessary to manage the system.

Again, I challenge those who want health care for all, who want more "justice" in the system, who want to make things "better," etc. to explain why it is a good idea to throw more good money after bad.

Hey, leftists, do you really think we need more "diversity czars" in each hospital? Explain to me how that is going to set a broken bone, cure a cancer, lower a blood pressure, etc.

Spot on! Great questions.

Oh, Charles: As one physician to another, I wonder if you'd like to have a little chat. Been having trouble with your memory, lately?

I think what most of the posters have been suggesting is that the "back and forth" between "left and right" that has resulted, in large part, a "middle" road for us CAN END with one side, completely, defeating (or neutering) the other. Can I assume that you might have learned something like that during your years in higher education? Thus, my question: are you having some trouble with your memory?

By the way, sir, the give and take has not, really, been between left and right or conservative and liberal for a couple of generations, now. The real...
...is a physician (a radiologist) who was interviewed this morning on Fox and Friends. He is proud that his cousin is President and wants him to succeed, but thinks that this Health Care Reform legislation is a disaster. He says he doesn't know a single patient or doctor who wants it...which might be an exaggeration (but that's what he said).

If I were king for a day, I would start by providing each and every American the wherewithal to purchase a good Multiple Vitamin and Mineral tablet. Daily supplementation would do more to prevent illness than any other single thing we could do. That is "health" care, but it isn't "medical" care.

I didn't go to "health" school. I went to "medical" school. Ali Baba and his 40...
