The number one enumerated duties of the government is to protect its citizens from enemies both foreign and domestic. The congress has laid down its arms at the feet of the enemy and dropped the borders. How else are we as citizens supposed to react to that? It sounds like that puts the 1st and 2nd amendments right up front doesn't it?
Try this: If a war is not declared and anyone including the leaders kill anyone, the legal term is MURDER.
A gun is an equalizer only when it is loaded. If it is unloaded it is the most dangerous situation possible. The equation is way out of balance. You are better not to have one at all.

Yep, I did the same thing when I was in second grade. Tried them once and gave up on cigarettes for the rest of my life.

Maybe people are beginning to realize that there is a purpose behind not allowing a foreign non-citizen to be the President.
Better also check the source of their campaign funds. Ours has huge donations from big pharma.
How about illegal invasion? The military should have been called out immediately when this occurred. If they are unarmed, they should be constrained and shipped back across the border which should have a fence strong enough to keep them expelled.

Is Thinking Obsolete?

That is the year I went to work washing dishes in a restaurant at age 15 and I believe that the minimum wage was $1.00/hr. Maybe it went up later however, I would have been happy to start at $0.50/hr because it was much more that I was making before that. It launched me on a very nice learning streak as a short-order-cook for the next 2 years. Minimum wages mean nothing to the new entrant. I can't see anyone without accomplishment and expecting to be trained for free getting that kind of wages.

An Open Letter to the Political Right

You are absolutely right! The reason we are where we are is that when a McConnell is present, we feel it our duty to dump him. When a Harry Reid is present, no matter what, the dems don't care because they are all alike. It seems that anything to run our country into the ground is acceptable. This is our plight.

How could you call a mathematically flawed program that is forced upon us a right? It is totally political in origin.
Why make yet another law to throw on the heap when it is a basic right of freedom to assemble? We just keep feeding the disease. Get smart and demand the basic rights. If a law is unconstitutional, don't accept it in the first place; just go on about your business. I agree that you can't just go on about your business when when it is intertwined in public services. There are many instances though where we can and should go on about our business.
