Children Sink into Adult Swim

It's called a parents responsibility folks. I never trust Hollywood, or Ted Turner to know whats ok for my children to watch, so why would any other parent just let their kids watch whatever they want on national/cable TV? My 12-year-old son has his own TV in his room and I block the cartoon network, because it's crap, IMHO, and some other channels, but he is also asleep at 9pm and 10pm on weekends. I grew up with some very innocent stuff, Gilligans Island, Brady Bunch, Looney Toons and Bugs Bunny. Half of what's on the tube today is garbage, you cannot allow the networks to babysit your kids, it's not their job.
It's hard for any people to break free of the free handouts, they become addicted. Ben Franklin said we need to take care of the poor but keep them uncomfortable in their poverty. The government handouts have been coming in for 3 and 4 generations. When everything is given to you, all your needs are taken care of, then why change? Where's the motivation to become better?
Wrong...conservatives, and many Republicans, are against the loopholes and Billion dollar subsidies that GE and Immelt take advantage of, and the smaller businesses have none. Conservatives are against raising taxes. Taxes and subsidies are not the same,,,get a clue. And one more thing, your name tag is an oximoron.

Thank you for reporting on this. All local representatives must be made aware.
