Black folk feel ignored? Wah. Wah.. Wah. Wah. Trilions of dollars of transfer payments via our and our children's tax dollars. Wah. Wah. Wah. Wah. I for one don't care if blacks feel ignored.

As I read, I kept hearing what the GOP needs to do. To me, this is the heart of the problem: why isn't the responsibility on the individual voter, not the collective party? Black people "feel" ignored? Maybe they need to quit voting how they feel and vote according to their intellect. I do not understand, given the outcome of Obama's administration in the black communnity, why anyone in it would vote for him again. Guess it's how they "feel." Why is this racist? Same with the Jewish vote. Why they vote for him, I'll never know.

So true. At somepoint others will throw up their hands and say enough, I give up. As I have.

Thanks GosAwk and traitorbill, but I am guessing that John5840 below would not know what racism is if it bit him in the proverbial. Well Johnny, I believe racism is that phenomenon whereby one holds that an entire group of people is somehow inferior or superior based simply upon biological characteristics.

Won't hear that from me. It is utter nonsense. But I WILL refuse to appeal to ANY group of people based on their race. And when blacks or whites or greenies or whoever start suggesting that special appeals be made by politicians, I will howl Wah. Wah. Wah. Wah,

Make it yourself on your own two feet. Whoever the f you are.

You cannot assume DB is racist from his post. He might just be as cynical as you are.

I've read all the comments up to now and have come to the conclusion that the only way we could prove we are not racist is to go along with all entitlements, forget about voter fraud and scrap the voter ID idea, go along with abortion on demand, crummy non accountable schools and teachers, etc. In other words, be democrats. And that ain't gonna happen. So I guess nothing we can do about it. You claim you aren't black so you must be an America hating, bleeding heart from Berkeley who thinks all America is is an imperialist, blood for oil, conquering bunch of racists. Oh well! Nothing we can do about that, either.

The historic election of Barack Obama was an electrifying moment for the United States. The election of the first African-American President was a monumental step in racial equality and harmony. It was truly a sign that America is the land of opportunity and that regardless of race, people can succeed.? Obama has not been the only African-American Democrat to capture the attention of blacks. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Charlie Rangel and others have become a beacon in the Democratic Party. The GOP has also seen an increase of influence in the black community with the election of US Congressman Allen West,...
