How Bill Kristol Purged the Arabists

As entertaining as the neo-nazi/neo-con leftist name calling is, what this really comes down to is the struggle between interventionist vs isolationist policy. Pat B. and others on this message board have the world view pre-1914, where only direct military actions against the US should be of any consequence to us in regards to foreign affairs. While it may be comforting to some to believe that we can line our tanks and missiles on our borders and turtle up and be forever safe in our fortress nation, such thinking is misguided. This is not a video game. We live in an ever shrinking world, and being a non-player on the world stage will not lead to prosperity, but our eventual downfall.

The cause of human liberty vs the cause of human bondage. We either fight the battle or lose. It is a spiritual war. Good ideas must win over bad ideas or civilization crumbles. The middle east must be opened up to the truth.

They are too powerful to live in lies and evil that do affect the rest of the world.

Israel is the "Canary in the Mineshaft". Israel's fate is a mirror to our own fate in the West. The first line of defense against Islamic extremism lies on those 90 some square miles of real estate on the Mediterranean Sea. If we lose, or chose to lose, Israel, it is only a matter of time before all the west falls, no matter how nicely we lined our tanks and guns up on our border here at home.

Those tanks and guns are actually pretty useful. BTW, how many aircraft carriers do the Arabs have? Nasty rhetoric and invoking Allah hasn't won a war yet.

After taping John Stossel's show on May 16 in New York, the Mrs. and I took the 10 a.m. Acela back to Washington. Once we had boarded the train, who should come waddling up the aisle but Bill Kristol.

The Weekly Standard editor seemed cheerful, and we chatted about the surge in Mitt Romney's popularity and prospects.

I did not ask what he had been doing in New York, but thanks to the website Mondoweiss, I found out. Kristol was there for a May 15 "debate" with Jeremy Ben-Ami of J Street, the pro-Israel organization, at B'nai Jeshurun...
