I actually like this idea. If you look at the Red/Blue map of last Tuesday's election, again, it is a sea of red stained by a smattering of blue and yet, blue wins. If the majority of this nation is held hostage to a few high populace areas, maybe it is time for the two dominant ideologies to part ways. The stipulation of course is that blue states would not be entitled to anything whatsoever of the pending largess of the red states. The left is so blasted sure that theirs’ is the best way, it's put up or shut up time.

Thats the way it should be blue states together red states together. We could run the pipeline down, let businesses thrive, feed the people.

One could fly or drive coast to coast and never fly over or touch a "blue" county, can't say that about the other side however.

The idea of Texas seceding from the Union is a long time joke, but a secession petition on WhiteHouse.gov has received enough signatures to be seriously reviewed by the White House.

This isn't quite the equivalent of the Declaration of Independence, but in the digital age, you could say it's similar.
