I'm not ready to give up but at this point, I have run out of ideas for now as to how to "take on City Hall." Washington intends to act within the confines of the oligarchical structure within the beltway, we the people have been relegated to irrelevance as far as our government is concerned. It is clear that we not only face an opposition party, many in our own party are in opposition to our demands as well. As I said, I'm not ready to give up but it is going to take a lot more than just strongly worded letters to our elected representatives to undo what has become a quite repressive government structure.

I share your frustration, but if we give up we capitulate to the intentional destruction of America. I even hear your next suggestion that we help them destroy the nation so that we can start rebuilding as soon as possilbe... Problem is that rebuilding will still involve the same nut jobs who think it wasn't their fault that Rome burned.

The Democrats' love affair with Republican John McCain is never ending, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid took things to a whole different level today on the Senate floor. Reid credited and thanked McCain for killing the filibuster threat against any new form of gun control legislation.

"John McCain is a leader."

Right, John McCain is a leader for doing the politically correct thing of reaching accross the aisle to promote a piece of legislation that would have done nothing to prevent any mass shooting...
