Col. Bat. I realize that my comment was largely cynical but I have reached a point frustration with the status quo and the seemingly inability of so many to "miss the point," I too am resorting to bombast and snark. As for communicating with the low information voter, well, they aren't stupid, many are certainly well educated. It is just that they are so completely disengaged that they suffer terminal political lethargy. That, is the effort that needs to be addressed I think, not questions that really answer themselves.

Paul Ryan is, of course, right -- spending is unsustainable and the USA is on an economic collision course unless some serious changes are made.  But if the GOP wants the public to understand what's at stake, they need to do better at explaining the problem than press releases like this
