FEMA Runs Out of Water

FEMA running out of water is the least of the worries of New York residents. To get a better understanding of just how out of control this situation is, you should visit the Drudge Report. The trolls are trying to ridicule those who point out the complete failure so far of FEMA and local officials but the stories are real, the fear is real, the growing anarchy is all too real and there is nothing amusing about any of it. Take a minute and just visit Drudge's site. Even if you don't read the stories, the headlines pretty much say it all. http://drudgereport.com/

Dan- Where I would differ from you is the comment on water. The most critical components after any disaster are food, water and shelter. Gasoline is not and neither is power. Some of those headlines are typical post-disaster and will happen anywhere. More interesting to me is the number of project residents that are not in a position to evacuate or lay in supplies ahead of time. For me that's a no-brainer. That this no-brainer eluded the Housing Project Authority tells us spades about them. The booing of non-union utility workers tells us spades about the Con Ed people too. I'm not yet certain whether the water shortage is due as claimed or pre-positioned stocks are underwater and inaccessible.

Have to believe that some of those "canned goods and blankets" that the Romney folks raised last week-and were roundly criticized for-would be pretty welcome about now.

You know, it just doesn't pay to even try to communicate anything on these threads. Does anyone who posts here have any concept whatsoever of the "Big Frickin' Picture?"

Jeez Dan- Calm down. We're on the same side here. I 'm part of a hospital disaster management team. My perspective is naturally going to differ somewhat from yours.

Following up on my post from earlier today, FEMA has run out of water. From Breitbart:

FEMA's vaunted "lean forward" strategy that called for advanced staging of supplies for emergency distribution failed to live up to its billing in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

In fact, the agency appears to have been completely unprepared to distribute bottled water to Hurricane Sandy victims when the storm hit this Monday. In contrast to its stated policy, FEMA failed to have any meaningful supplies of bottled water -- or any other supplies, for that...
