The sequester is the brainchild of Barack Obama. He introduced it and he signed it into law. If this was such a bad deal, he had the opportunity to veto "his" plan. He didn't, he salivated at the opportunity to whack our defense capabilities and slash their budget in one fell swoop. This is Obama's plan and if the Republicans don't shove this one down his throat, they deserve the title of "The Stupid Party."
