As long as the media, popular culture and education establishment all play spear tip and rear guard for the permanent campaign tactics Democrats have found works better than playing policy wonk and governing, we will continue to be dominated by it. In short, conservatives need to make inroads in all 3 areas to check their successes. We need to step up our game accross the board.
By creating a state firewall that oppose Obamacare, based on its unpopularity and workability, I think Republicans may help bring the problem to the fore next election and in any future elections, assuming this monstrosity doesn't collapse of its own weight during the interm. Let's go for it.

Part time work is about to become the new normal. When Republicans start to open their mouths about the minimum wage killing job opportunities, the liberal nomenclatura will deluge the populous with stories of Republican greed and heartless philosophy. Kids are coming out of schools with 'socialism' on their lips, I can attest to. Freedom and the Constitution are now out-dated things to progressives. Their party.. senses blood in the water.
One additional consequence of putting millions more Democrat constituents on the market would be the Democrat machine pushing for affirmative action to alleviate their plight of not enough representation in government controlled jobs and contracted work places.
