I am proudly anti-Christian. The standard Christian message is ground in superstition and fear of death. The "Christ died for our sins" is such a farcical tale - if God wanted to offer salvation, why not just snap his omnipodent fingers instead of conducting some elaborate charade and "sacrificing His only son"? Despite my anti-Christian beliefs, I too am concerned about the judicial war against Christianity. Freedom of expression cannot be maintained where free and public religious expression is denied. The same forces striving against Christian expression strive against all of our liberties. These forces value tolerance and forced inclusion versus independence, accountability, and free choice. I prefer America - life, liberty,...
I'm not "Liberal". I don't use illegal drugs. And I care nothing about legalizing marijuana use for adults. Adults are responsible for the efects their personal choices have on themselves. However, along with drug use legalization - if determined by voters - I want to empower employers to make hiring (and firing) decisions based on drug use as employers see fit. We then have freedom - and accountability.
I nearly always vote Republican - mostly in opposition to Democrat objectives and behaviors. Then the current author - Brian Walsh - endorses the Republican Todd Young by describing his Democrat opponent as "Lap Dog" and "Pelosi Puppet". Does Walsh really expect his name-calling to persuade voters? Walsh persuades me to disregard any recommendfations he makes. Walsh - your name-calling is an embarressment. Grow up or go away.

I avidly read Mona's columns and even bought and read one of her books. But this column about some clown's dating behavior - what a waste of time and space! Get real. Behaviors of men and women are judged differently because the group of men and the group of women want different things, or minimally, the same set of things but with vastly diffrerent priorities. A woman is punished for screwing around - some man won't want to marry her or financially support her and her children. Men are not punished for screwing around, except where foolish enough to procreate and get stuck with child support payments. Consider Ambrose Bierce's definition of immoral - "inexpedient." It's far less "inexpedient" for men to be sexually...

George Wallace captured five (not four) states in the 1968 presidential election - Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. O/w, I benefitted from the article.

Hey - I'm Jewish, I find Christianity to be a particularly noxious philosophy (for reasons unconnected to this dispute), and I find NO offense to collectively honoring our fallen heroes with a cross.

And there is NOTHING in our Constitution - absolutely NOTHING - that requires the federal government to remove religious symbols from public property. The Supreme Court took a wrong turn decades ago. Display of religious symbols is not a subject to be held captive by bad precedent.
