That is a major reason why I no longer have O'Reilly on my Must Watch list, he "Bullies" even his friendly guests! Not only that, but he has the tendency to arrogance hanging onto his opinions like a "puppy to a root." He needs to learn that he is not always right. With regard to the appeal to the Bible in the present case, we are dealing, not with a Tradition, but with an Institution, clearly "Instituted" in Eden when The Creator recognized that the "Ish" (Man) He created needed a (an) helpmeet and created "Isha" from "Bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh." Beyond that point, you have an institution, not mere tradition. And, if your redefine that institution by removing the Biblical history of it, you have effectively destroyed..."

For the last two weeks Bill O'Reilly has committed multiple journalistic mis-steps.

As long as he is allowed to define the terms of the narrative of what happened they will not be corrected. His failure to do so is a massive public relations problem and a mis-step in itself.

He owes a significant demo of his viewership an apology. He owes them one quickly so that his previously demonstrable prejudice against people of faith does not cause unintended long term effects.
