The immediate issue is the perceived need by Congress et,al; to "cram" one more social program down our throats for the purpose of perpetuating political life extension at the expense of the American way of life, and , in this case, at the expense of the reputation and, perhaps, the very life blood of this scholar. How many Ph.D's are included in the detractors? One? Any? There are only misguided, self seeking, vote starving politicians all seeking to steal the election next term from the next party when the whole of both parties are so corrupted that the elections are won or lost in the wash rooms of the Polls where adversarial ballots are flushed or otherwise disposed of. Being a strict constructionist, It roils me to see stuff like this. The idea of the Foundation of our government being subject to the day-to-day whim of anybody's opinion galls my innermost being. It is much the same as pundits sitting at a microphone after a press conference "spinning" what the producer of the conference has said. "Don't put words in my mouth!" Frankly, if one is unable to articulate his position in the first foray, ask a follow up. If he still can't get him out of the podium - he shouldn't be there in the first place. There is a mechanism for changing the Constitution: The Amendment process! Use it! It is not to be done by SCOTUS!

We have to look at the agenda they are propagating, then we will realize that they are fools, only in the sense that they do not realize the devastating effect it will have ion this Nation and its people for decades to come. That makes them, not fools, but, to euphemize, insurrectionists!
