Too bad, Mr. Gerson just doesn't get it. The fact that the movie was made at all is significant, and the attempt to corrupt the "high speed train" is too clever by about four times. I read the book again recently, and thought it would be impossible to make it a movie that could work at all. I went to the movie and it does, and it is entertaining as well. Looks like it cost more to make than it probably did. It sure worked for me. Imagine if it was seen my the many many that will never read the book, and if they get just a bit of the basic message. That seems to be what is worrying to so many who hope that we just don't notice. Is moving our factories and jobs to foreign countries the way we "strike" today? Are the government...

Get ready to flag as offensive, Because it is meant to be.
Charles brings clarity and brillance and sincerity.
Pres Obama is a, in the works of one member of Congress, a liar. But worse - he is a fraud, a fake, and oh yes, he is crap.

After careful consideration I have concluded that this is another brilliant piece by Charles Krauthammer, and..,
after careful consideration about the war in Afghanistan, Health Care, Cap and Trade, that the President is a fraud and fool, and I hate him.
The best way to save everything is simply to dump Obama - as soon as possible.

Sad I think that even the random thoughts of Dr. Sowell make the carefully considered and crafted thoughts by our President seem like what they are - the random lies and stupidity of President Obama. I hope he is stupid, the alternative is so much worse. God help us...and him.

I normally agree with Dr. Sowell abt 200%. But the throw away phrase at the end of his always excellent piece ("intellectuals of unquestionable brilliance have advocated similarly childish and dangerous notions.") bothers me. How is it, I'd like to ask the good Dr. that childish and dangerous notions are a sign of brilliance?
We are told too often that the president is brilliant. Really? Like a sophmore that has read one book is brillant. How does one eqaute fraudulent intellectualism (I say I am therefore I am a brilliant intellectual) with the facts that you have sero wisdom. How can these intellectuals site history often, yet get thebasic facts --those stubborn things -- so consisyently wrong.
I agree that...
