RIght on Kyle, I've been responding to brainwashed friends who think teachers are underpaid with a similar set of numbers for a couple years now. Teachers are not underpaid! In this economy, the best I can do with my Master's Degree in Project Management is a contract job, I get NO vacation, NO benefits, I pay for my families health insurance out of my own pocket...When I was in college I wasn't impressed with the intelligence of most Education Majors I knew, but it turns out I was the stupid one...should have worked for the government.

Over the past year, a lot of people have been talking about “the 1%” versus “the 99%.” But if you’re concerned about one class exploiting another for economic gain, that’s the wrong way to look at the problem.

There is one class that works more hours per day, more days per year, for more years of their lives. They have less job security, they pay more for health coverage, and their retirements are not guaranteed. Their incomes...
