Obama has a double-digit lead over Romney as to who would better handle foreign policy. You mean that people actually believe that Romney could do worse than Obama's latest efforts (or lack thereof) in foreign policy?

Only when the survey has a far larger proportion of Democrats surveyed than Republicans; larger than the ratio in the voting population.

That lead will shrink now that Obama's mid east policies have failed

People very rightly want PEACE. Romney has virtually promised war. The people correctly see Obama as the lesser of these two evils.

The "people" who voted for Obama in the first place were and are IDIOTS! That would, no doubt, include YOU, Corbett!

Often, a small surgical strike will get the point across without the need for war ... although, Saddam didn't learn and Iran is run by fanatics. That's why war may be necessary to defang the snake before it has nukes and avoid a MUCH LARGER war later.

Corbett, You don't secure peace by allowing your enemies to do anything to you they want, as Obama has done. Obama promised us better relations with the middle east and during his tenure our numbers are down!

Romney has great respect for life, but he also understands that freedom has always come at a price, and that it must be defended against those who seek to take it from you!

"The people correctly see Obama as the lesser of these two evils."

Many people can't see that well. They are myopic and can't see down the road.
Corbett_ Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 11:23 AM
False Conservative: So you think that in order to avoid a war, we should start one? How moronic can you get?

Do you have even one shred of evidence that Iran is building nukes? If you do, call the CIA today. Otherwise, admit that you are just trying to drum up hysteria in order to get the war you crave.

Amazing, liberals breed bullies and have no clue how to handle them. Obama made the current mess as violent and unstable as it is right now. He's allowing a state who's government has stated publicly that it launch nuclear weapons at Israel and believes only a full scale nuclear war world wide will bring the 13th Imam out of hiding and is actively seeking to start such an exchange. These are the people you're Obama is supporting. Not surprising as the left seems only composed of the insane of this nation.

How could Romney promise war when he never mentioned the military?
Corbett_ Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 11:27 AM
Our numbers are down? Big deal!

Think about how much more they will hate us if we go to war against yet another country that is not a threat to the US.

Obama isn't "evil" necessarily. He's just the most incompetent person imaginable to hold the office of President and we (all Americans) should be ashamed of ourselves for voting for color rather than experience and competence when we elected him.

Romney isn't evil. He's wants to protect American interests.

In terms of international relations, Obama is a wimp, and ALL CRIMINALS from Muslim Jihadists to Los Angeles street gangsters know they can do whatever they want with wimps without paying a cost.

Just like pregnant chads in the voting process, liberals can discern the intentions of others before they say anything.
Corbett_ Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 11:50 AM

He has promised to back Israel fully and has repeatedly said that he would employ the military to make Iran stop enriching uranium.
Kim D Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 11:50 AM
Corbett, you keep asking for evidence that Iran is developing nuclear wepons, but even when presented with such evidence that we are privy to, you ignore it and continue your denials. As has been said before, you will refuse to believe until lthe mushroom clouds appear over the cities of Isreal and the US.

Michale -- Iran has REPEATEDLY said that nuclear weapons are immoral and that they are not attempting to build any. That means the talk radio host who told you that Iran has publicly stated that they would nuke Israel was lying.

You need to stop listening to all that tripe on talk radio and actually find out the truth about what is going on in the world.
Corbett_ Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 11:59 AM
Kim -- Have you given any evidence? The CIA has looked at all the evidence. so has the IAEA. Both say there is no evidence to support the assertion that Iran is building a bomb. Until you have enough evidence to overturn their assessment, you are making baseless accusations.

Oh they will get peace with Obama- look at the news the world is flowering with it isnt it? I mean if we all wished upon a star and held hands and sang cumbaya with our enemies we get peace right? Obama bowed, kissed as- and hated the enemy of our enemies and the middle east is as rosy red and ripe for all out war as at any time in its history. Those who seek peace at the expense of truth and strength end up with war and hell on their hands. Welcome to the foreign policy nightmare of president bow and kiss.

Corbett_ Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 12:15 PM

I am no Obama fan, but in this instance, he is doing the right thing. We do not need to attack Iran or help Israel attack Iran. We cannot afford another war against a country that is not a threat to the US.

Pacifism does not produce peace -- it merely emboldens aggressors. The most effective deterrent to a bully is a strong man, ready and willing to punch his lights out if crosses the line. Don't know yet about Romney, but Obama is clearly on the side of appeasing and placating the bullies of the world -- and they are in turn behaving true to their nature, more and more aggressively. These misguided notions of liberal peaceniks are leading us down the path to an assured large scale, brutal and bloody war. There is a tipping point where the war preparations of the world's bullies can be turned back, but we are rapidly approaching the point of no return. Like never before we need a leader in the White House. I hope and pray Romney is that man.

Iran is a threat to the whole world but especially Ameriacn & Israel. You are a fool to think otherwise.

The Middle East does not want peace, nor have they ever wanted it. Peace is a fantasy which will never be realized. The best that can be done to prevent world catastrophe is to ensure enstable persons like Ahminijeade, Hosi/ Muslim Brotherhood never have access to horrific tools of war. This is accomplished by a show of unity & strength for Isreal & a constant presence of a strong America in that region.
Corbett_ Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 2:23 PM
Alaska -- if being an aggressive "strong man" brings peace, then why haven't we had peace since the end of WWII? The US has not had 5 years of peace in the last 70 years. Your way is obviously not working. Maybe we should go back to the behavior that we had during the long periods when we DID have peace -- non-interventionism.
Corbett_ Wrote: Sep 14, 2012 2:26 PM
Katarina -- First of all, Iran isn't even building nukes. Israel has HUNDREDS and we have THOUSANDS. So even if Iran ever decides to build them, Israel can deter attacks on their country and we can deter attacks on ours.

As for your notion that occupying Arab lands will bring peace, that's just ludicrous. That only stirs up hatred for the US.

Not all of us are willing to bend over to obtain it.

Who would have thought that God and Jerusalem would become controversial issues at this year's Democratic National Convention?

Previous Democratic Party platforms had mentioned God and referred to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. After both were initially missing from this year's platform, someone apparently realized that this was likely to raise questions about Democrats that they could ill afford to have raised in an election year.

So the convention faced a vote on whether to restore God and Jerusalem to their party's platform. Rather than risk a roll-call vote from the delegates, the chair called for a voice...
