Just to clear it up- from Wikipedia, " West was charged with violating articles 128 (assault) and 134 (general article) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. During a hearing held as part of an Article 32 investigation in November 2003, West stated, "I know the method I used was not right, but I wanted to take care of my soldiers."[14] The charges were ultimately referred to an Article 15 proceeding rather than court-martial, at which West was fined $5,000.[13] Lieutenant Colonel West accepted the judgment and retired with full benefits in the summer of 2004. Asked if he would act differently under similar circumstances, West testified, "If it's about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can." (cont)

Please, folks- the internet is the largest swath of information our world has ever been privy to. Back up your assertions with sources. As for Lt Col West? If he is beaten this term, I hear he's going to team up with Chuck Norris and form an all encompassing asz whupping company. (joke)

Florida officials have ordered a partial recount in the race between Republican Allen West and his challenger Democrat Patrick Murphy. As we reported yesterday, there was over 100% turnout in several precincts in St. Lucie County, Florida. The election officials in that county announced late yesterday that there would be an emergency meeting Sunday morning at 7 AM.
