Art is subjective, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Anything is art, intentional or not. Such a wide swath of definition should not be awarded taxpayer money, ever. Sorry Uncle Ron :/

Dan Mitchell calls himself a wonk all the time. Policy wonk, I believe. You see his writings here, same thing on his blog: http://danieljmitchell.wordpress.com/
ALSO IMPORTANT: We cannot let the future belong to those who would slander the prophet of Islam.
Yep. For this instance it was quick, easy, and correct.
Please, folks- the internet is the largest swath of information our world has ever been privy to. Back up your assertions with sources. As for Lt Col West? If he is beaten this term, I hear he's going to team up with Chuck Norris and form an all encompassing asz whupping company. (joke)
[14] At his hearing, West pointed out that there were no further ambushes against American forces in Taji until he was relieved of his leadership post on October 4.[15]After West's retirement he received more than 2,000 letters and e-mails offering him moral support.[13] A letter supporting West was signed by 95 members of Congress and sent to the Secretary of the Army.[13]"
Just to clear it up- from Wikipedia, " West was charged with violating articles 128 (assault) and 134 (general article) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. During a hearing held as part of an Article 32 investigation in November 2003, West stated, "I know the method I used was not right, but I wanted to take care of my soldiers."[14] The charges were ultimately referred to an Article 15 proceeding rather than court-martial, at which West was fined $5,000.[13] Lieutenant Colonel West accepted the judgment and retired with full benefits in the summer of 2004. Asked if he would act differently under similar circumstances, West testified, "If it's about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can." (cont)
You missed Bill's sarcasm tag or forgot to add your own?
Do you know people who came from extremely countries with extremely oppressive governments? First hand anecdotal experience should not be disregarded so casually. Yes I get your Vietnam example, but that was a war with a draft. These people came here voluntarily for a new life, and an escape from their old masters, in order to become their own. When they see the path being laid out before them as a bridge back to the old world, they recognize it- because they've been there.
That's true, and that is also why constitutionalists are furious about the passage of such acts. But Obama has specifically said he wants to redistribute the wealth, and spread it around. He said in the 'Joe the plumber' video, "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody". Combine that ideology with the actions I mentioned above, and.. Well, I have a habit of attempting to think of the worst possible situation in order to prepare, yet hoping for the best.
