It would only save thousands of lives, stop most of the selling of drugs in our grade schools by 11 and 12 yr old kids. not to mention the freeing up of prison space for the violent crims. And of course slowing down the incursion of swat teams into private residences for a substance that most of the time is so much less harmful than bath salts, glue, paint huffing and oh yea, alchohol the most evil drug there is. Or would that be tobacco?!? This drug war is the stupidest idea that we have come up with.

Democratic Representative Earl Blumenauer introduced his new legislation today allowing states to legalize medical marijuana. While nineteen states already allow the use of medical marijuana, federal law still considers it illegal. These incongruent policies create a significant legal grey area because medical marijuana users can be prosecuted under federal law even though they have been granted such rights under state law.
