LOL Martin, you are a perfect example of a hypocrite who states he will never vote for a Republican when you obviously have a serious case of double standards. What ever happened to voting for the best peson after careful review of their achievements, qualifications and ideas. You however will continue to be a Democrat, regardless.

Had the media been as diligent in digging up every bit of information on Obama as they have Sara Palin, I doubt Obama would have been elected. Too many unanswered questions not to mention the obvbious questionable connections with Ayers, Rizzo, Wright etc. and their giving up their law licenses makes absolutely NO sense.

What nonsense and a perfect example of the thinking that is the subject of Thomas Sowell's excellent column. Growing up, my family had one car, one TV, rarely dined out etc. We did not consider ourselves anything but solidly middle class. The rich have gotten richer but so has the middle class who now enjoy two cars, several tvs, air conditioning, I phones etc. I believe it was Kennedy who stated a rising tide lifts all boats and I for one, would not have all the material things I enjoy today had it not been for working for the rich.

Once again we are treated to the spectacle of politics wherein the disconnect between politicians and their advisors is polar opposite for those of us who actually know first hand about food prices, gas prices and general costs of living.

Why not start with spending as allowed for in the Constitution an then add in the programs by priority according to revenues. Last to be added should be thosed favored by the social engineering types that hate the thought of limited govt. and individual responsibility.

Unfortunately, Hal, you have a history of posts on Town Hall that show the comments to NOT be lies. In your behalf, I can at least say you are consistent but happily in the minority.

Anne: when it comes to Obama, run on sentences in print or in speech are perfectly normal when venting :)

There also comes a time when people make the choice to employ a Union worker or NOT or buy a Union made product or NOT. Unions were once a source of good but now they are only a bunch of bullies lining up behind a group of Union FAT Cats who in reality care nothing for them.
