Who Really Cares About the Poor?

I knew, and still know, a lot of poor people. The poor people I once knew that are no longer poor are those who got educated/trained and got a job and worked their way out of being poor. Those who are still poor are those who have continued to live on welfare, food stamps and free housing for two or three generations. The only ones the government helps get out of being poor are the Solyndra owners who walked away with several million dollars each, paid by Obama with tax money.
