The Particulars of Polls

I think you miss the point about exit polls being most inaccurate when the interviewers were female graduate students. Think about this: The demographics where the Democrats ran strongest, besides the African American vote were the youth vote, and the single female vote. In addition the academic community tends to favor Democrats as well, so young female graduate students would be more likely than almost any other group to skew results towards the object of their own political leanings, whether consciously or unconsciously.
Just release Obama's college records Aura.
Dear Rich D. Why do "(Almost) all Christians accept the Nicene Creed" when it is an extra-biblical concoction created centuries after the books that these same Christians accept as in the Bible canon were written. Is the Nicene Creed part of the Bible, a book within the Bible? No. Do "(Almost) all Christians also tell Mormons that one cannot add to nor take from the word of God (Even though "(Almost) all Christians" accept an extra-Biblical creed as the one mark of their common Christianity. And who is it that is preaching another gospel again?

Kevin, There have been articles of yours upon which you and I have disagreed. This article is not one of those. Past time to change course.

Mormon Doctrine Leads to Socialism?

Dear Rockin Rick, Please explain where the Book of Mormon came from. Give me specifics that prove your assertion. You may begin by explaining how you came to the conclusions that there was "no reformed Egyptian." You have apparently never heard of Demotic, a reformed script used in the time concurrent with the early Book of Mormon. Then you can tell us your theory for how we got the 500 plus pages in the Book of Mormon, produced in less than six months, by a man with a typical upstate New York 1830s education. Also explain how Smith managed to have 11 witnesses see and handle the plates and have three of them see an angel and hear a voice from the sky bear witness.
piggeybacked not backing. Apologies for the grammatical faux pas.
Dear Douglas. Might I suggest that if the more strident elements of liberal agnosticism are gaining any foothold during this presidential election they were offered a crack in the door by substantial and sometimes virulent Christian Evangelical criticism of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? I have often observed anti-religionists have piggybacking their comments on a "Christian" opposing Mormons by stating that "all religions are illogical and ridiculous." If Christians expect tolerance and understanding they will only gain it through practicing the same. I believe in the Golden Rule. Do you?

The Truth About Mormonism

As to the question of historical and archaeological authenticity: Can you prove to me that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the Dead and ascended into Heaven after teaching his disciples for forty days? In both cases, that of the resurrected Lord and the Book of Mormon, witnesses beheld Jesus and the plates from which the Book of Mormon were written. Both groups bore witness that an angel confirmed the truth of what they saw. Witnesses touched the wounds in the Saviors hands and feet. Witnesses handled the Gold Plates and touched the engravings on the pages. I submit to you the the evidence for the Book of Mormon is as strong as the witness for the Resurrection of Jesus.

Dear AI587, That is probably the question that the first century Jews asked or the first century Christians: "If you follow the Torah (Old Testament) as you claim, why do you need the teachings of this Jesus person? I am a Mormon, and a graduate student specializing in the history of American Religions. I assure you that after reading over 75 Books this past year about all sorts of religions, I have, indeed "taken time to find out." I have found things to respect and applaud among all the religions. I have also been strengthened in my faith in Jesus Christ, The Bible and the Book of Mormon which is a powerful second witness of Christ.
