No,wiseone, they are not.I've had 5 children & 12 grandchildren. Not one had cravings for booze. While we may have proclivities towards destructive behaviors,it is incumbant upon us to make the choices to bring about said behavior.
You are the keeper of naivety Bruce. As i ponder your posts, objectivity is anything but the measure by which you view the world around yourself. I believe you're looking for 'ideology'.To the good folks like you, people like Mr.Obama can do no wrong. There is no way objectivity fits in with your model of thought process. You are a sad little dembot that believes all that you're told & allow the thoughts of others direct the limited world view bouncing around in your otherwise politically empty head.A couple of dates for you to ponder. The Glass-Steagall Act of 1933.The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999, signed on 11/12/1999.Both bills are bi partisan.Learn & enjoy, things aren't always as they seem.
Close Earl,he actually made the appointment you're referring to when Congress was in session. You're to hung up on Marie,Bruce. When a president makes it clear,at least in his own mind, that he's not going to debate anything & suggest it's his way or the highway, is at the very least suspect. That doesn't seem to be a tenet of leadership, not in this country anyway. He comes across as a petulant child. His ability to work with Congress is lacking severely if it even exists at all.
Really Bruce? The 'evolves' on his position every 15 minutes. Not exactly a man of conviction now is he.Don't you dare set there on your pedestal & pretend you can keep up.
That is so weird.I would have sworn i heard him speak on the matter in '07' & '08' ad nauseum.Maybe he meant we weren't spending anywhere nearly enough money. Man he's hard to keep up with.He needs to quit evolving so damn much.
Senator Dirksen was from Illinois, how ironic.
Yes, anti-democratic daydreaming. It's right up there with the C.R. Act of 1964.You know, the one where the dems mounted the longest filibuster in U.S. history! Thank God the racist GOP rescued that bill to become law.Oh you didn't know? The dems could only squeak out 51% of the vote in both Houses while the GOP managed 83% of the vote. Gop Senator Dirksen,Wisc.(i believe) rewrote legislation that saved the Civil Rights movement. He!!,i thought everyone knew that.....Was that the air rushing out of your balloon?
Agreed, what an idiotic premise; politics & booze?

Nice try wolfbang.Bumbles is starting round 2 with a 23% confidence level & he blew his wad with his pants still on.One thing Americans will grow tired of is the constant stream of " it's everybody elses fault".
It is disturbing that the left would attack the first & last line of defense when it comes to these "gun free zones". One libturd appeared baffled at the notion of using a gun to stop a mass murdering gunman. The idiocy of setting up these "zones" defies logic. The most priceless & precious of Americas treasures treated like farm animals when it comes to their safety! We should move heaven & earth to protect them. This is what we come up with, gun free zones? Then libturds cry foul when the NRA offers the best solution to stop a gun, another gun! It can be put in place immediately. He!! of a lot of good the libturds plan has done. The obvious just escapes their notice.
