When you mix left-wing foreign & social policy, with right-wing fiscal policy & an economic philosophy (Austrianisim) that has been obselete since the first Visa card was issued (it doesn't take into account an economy driven by freely available credit rather than saved cash)... You get something that only fringe radicals will vote for.
Funny, most of us don't have a problem not being frisked or having our houses stormed by the cops... Yes, you can't smoke pot... You can hire a prostitute, but you have to go to Nevada... You can gamble, in Atlantic City, Vegas, or on Indian land... And if you want to smoke pot, there's Colorado or Washington... Real freedom is alive and well... With reasonable limits to prevent your freedom from squashing someone else's....
The problem with your position, is it ignores the right of the child to live. Which is, from a pro-life perspective, greater than the mother's right to avoid experiencing childbirth.
Who are you to decide that that child can't be born? The abortion issue boils down to this: What is greater: The child's right to live, or the woman's to not go through childbirth? The pro-life position is that the child's right to live, once concieved, trumps the mother's right to avoid giving birth.
