Hot Air About Gas Prices

When will the republicans start creating add after add with Obama saying this in his own words, over and over again? If they don't create this add, then I know the fix is in and someone other than freedom loving patriots are running the republican party.... Simple add... picture of the gas price signs going up and up, with a split screen with Obama making the speeches mentioned above.

So when your neighbor is harboring, training, and paying for terrorists to come into my house to kill me and my family... then yes the neighbor's house is fair game... it's called DEFENSE. Poor Grise has a very selective memory... The west pays it's neighbors to buy oil at exorbitant cost... We don't go breaking in, trashing and killing our neighbors to get it... Which is why there are all these rich Arab monarchs... Get a clue. However, we do defend ourselves AFTER our neighbors ATTACK US.

Democrats Not Governing, But Lying in Wait

Reagan was painted as a monster too, but circumvented the MSM and spoke directly to the American people. Of all the lessons that Reagan taught the republicans, this "Marketing" lesson is one of the biggest lessons that the republicans failed to learn. (along with conservatives win elections, not moderates.) Marketing is IMPORTANT... and the MSM will always try to demonize... don't let them... show them as the lairs they are... "there you go again"
Agreed Ed... but I also noticed that he gave lip-service(flip-flopped) to the "moderate" causes, and actually governed as a tough conservative. This is most of what gave him the "flip-flop" moniker. Normally we get the moderates claiming they are conservative and then screw us when they govern. Romney did it the other way around. I'd rather have a moderate that governs as a conservative, than a supposed conservative that governs as a moderate.
I would love to be able to support Huckabee. As a true conservative, I am extremely upset when I see shady back-room deals like the dems do as often as they breath. During the 2008 election cycle, Romney was about to win either North or South Carolina(I can't remember which). Huckabee then conspired with John McCain's campaign to "give" Huckabee's electors or votes to McCain. As soon as I saw that underhanded dealing, I knew Huckabee was not a real conservative. He gave his votes to the most "moderate"(read liberal) candidate in the race. I don't agree with every thing Romney does, but he's on the right side most of the time. If you really look at his record in Mass, he ran as a "moderate", but governed as a Conservative. The...

Listening to the dems screaming that it's heartless not to spend money we don't have sounds just like my ex-wife... One of the many times she had overdrawn our joint account, she actually said this: "I can't be overdrawn, there are still checks in the checkbook." You may think I'm kidding or made this up, but this is exactly what she said. If you don't understand what is wrong with the statement above, you undoubtedly vote Democrat and should never be allowed to vote again, or hold public office. This should be on a test before you get approved to be a voter.

I've not looked recently... but aren't things NOT EXPRESSLY STATED in the constitution supposed to be left to the States or the People? What I don't understand is why these Libs think it's ok to try to change the form of government of this country into something else, when they could just EMIGRATE to countries that already have the form of socialist Utopian government they desire. If you don't want to live under the tyranny of the US Constitution, move to a country that more closely resemble the form of government you do want to live under.

"Promote the general welfare" does not mean that the government should use confiscatory tax rates, at the point of a gun, to "redistribute wealth" from working Americans to non-working, yet voting Americans. Charity, as your "welfare" is defined, was not supposed to be a government matter... it was given to the general population as well as the states to provide for as they see fit. Charity is a moral issue that each individual of means should be free to decide for themselves. Charity with other people's money is not charity, it's theft.

Exactly what the left-leaning professors perpetrate on their students as they indoctrinate them into the "collective".

Excellent response... however, I don't believe John would even understand what you are saying. His world view doesn't allow for conservatives who believe in education of any kind, even though all of us do. Conservatives realize that learning actual history instead of the "targeted" (adjusted/skewed) history of the left, allow INDIVIDUALS to come to their own critical conclusions of what has come before, and what should be done in the future. But liberals believe that conservatives are evil, not just wrong. Libs will never understand that conservatives want society to improve by individuals improving via their own effort. Libs believe human society cannot improve based on personal freedom... only by group politics and community...
