Twinkies have been around since the 30's, and back then there was no concern about transfat and empty calories. Childhood obesity is a recent development due mostly to the popularization of television and video games. Its a sedentary lifestyle that makes kids fat, not a delicious creme filling in the middle of a tasty chocolate cake surround by yummy chocolate icing.
