Sorry, Shipmate. McCain served honorable in Nam and then proceeded to stab his fellow Republicans in the back for the rest of his career. He is the one of the worst RINOs in recent times and he ran a horrid campaign. I'd put his campaign up there with Dole's as ranking among the worst ever conducted. No enthusiasm, no fire, nothing new; it was just his turn to run.

Admiral Stockdale and his wife co-wrote a book which is well worth reading. I had the pleasure of meeting them in a pharmacy one day during their last years. I think the Admiral was pleased to be recognized by an ordinary citizen.
