He is correct, Chris. Had you served in a combat zone you would be familiar with this rule. For any month that you spend any portion of any day during that month in or over a combat zone, you do not pay Federal income taxes for the entire month. I would have pointed out that the intent of the first post was to deny those that are living off of government subsidy as a way of life (moochers) with never paying any taxes in the first place the right to vote for more free money. I would have pointed out that the response twisted the post to attempt to make it appear to be something it is not.
