Marita, Please don't get me wrong. I value and very much appreciate what you do and look forward to each column, and, more often than not, send them on to friends. I am glad to know that you'll be doubling up--more good stuff! As Sean would say, "You are a great American!" I just wanted to make the point that all govt-business collusion is bad news. Even had Solyndra, say, been successful, it would have been because the govt chose them rather that another co. (for whatever good or bad reason). It's not the way the game is supposed to work. As much a fan as I am of Ms. Noon's, I have to say that the point of this article is easily misunderstood. The problem with the govt's "investments" is not that they are poor risks, but rather that they are made at all: Business is not the govt's business. Bad things will happen whenever govt and business get together. It is the unholiest of unholy alliances.
