He's painted himself into a corner where he stands pretty much alone. He, along with the alphabet networks need to do their jobs and only their jobs of reporting the news and, in Costas case, sports. Nothing more. News and sports has no room for political views of personal opinions. I thought he was more intelligent because of his issue of guns when you can basically make a weapon out of just about anything. So, are we to throw other things away because of the potential use as a weapon to kill? What would he do without a pen or pencil? Paper can cut so, do you discard that as well? I rate him a 9 out of a possible 10 on the idiot scale. Do the job you were hired to do or be dismissed for failure to do so.
We know the news flash: On Saturday morning, Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend, then drove to Arrowhead Stadium and shot himself in the head in the parking lot in front of his coaches. To liberals like NBC sportscaster Bob Costas, this was not just a crisis. It was also an opportunity.

During the halftime of the Dec. 2 Sunday night game between Dallas and Philadelphia, Costas unfurled a wholly unexpected and condescending lecture about how gun owners who harm America with their "gun culture" never learn.

He began by saying he didn't...
