If teachers could be fired for poor results in the inner-city public schools they would figure out how to do the job better. They do have to figure out anything.....just demand...and the kids who will inherit the future are going to suffer. Obama's "redistribution of wealth" is not going to work for them because there will be no wealth to redistribute if Obama is reelected.

What is never discussed is the number of minority teachers, administrators and supplementary personnel that actually benefit by seeing their inner city students continue to do poorly. The black intelligentsia is one of the main reasons for the poor standing that the inner city has in comparison to student test scores in the USA and the world at large. But of course saying so is "racism."

I believe that I recently read that Chicago schools are the worst.

40 percent is the drop-out rate for Chicago Public School Children

40 percent is how many Chicago Public School Teachers won’t send their kids to any public school…not even in Suburbia

40 percent of Chicago Public School 8th Graders rated “basic” and 36 percent rated “below basic” so nearly 80% were not proficient in reading

40 thousand dollars – average household income of Chicago Tax Payers ----- well over 100 thousand is the average household income of Chicago Public School Teachers
