GOP Rep: Senate Republicans "Must Have Been Drunk" to Vote For the Cliff Deal

This bill is outrageous. The Republicans are at it again. Politically whipped. Where are the cuts? There is not one cut in the bill! Maybe they think they can use the upcoming fight over raising the debt limit as leverage to get cuts, tax reform, and concessions on Obamacare. They might be able to do it but not without Newt Gingrich at the helm. No body in the house knows how to finesse a deal where the Republicans get something they want.

Another problem is some republicans really believe that this time Obama will get the blame for the results of his actions. Really? So they go ahead and support another 40 trillion in new debt on a "bi-partician basis" and expect Obama to take responsability? Then let Obama impose all the new taxes oon the working americans by executive order just like his government pay raises.

Don't hold your breath, there aren't going to be any cuts whatsoever.

How bad do some House Republicans think the Senate bill is? Ohio Rep. Steven LaTourette thinks the only way that number of Senate Republicans could have voted for the plan was if they were drunk:

"I think our sense, at least in the House, was that a number of the Republicans that voted for it must have been drunk, because it really was a number that wasn't reflective of where we thought some of these people were going to be on a bill like this," he said after emerging from a House GOP caucus meeting.
