Because he is a traitorous moron. Adept at nothing other than 'fundamentally changing America" he could not be more effective at destroying this Country and turning us over to our enemies by doing anything other than what he has been doing since his inauguration.

"Abraham Lincoln, who caused 643,000 American men to die fighting with each other (no numbers on the women and children)" And the treasonous cadets from the Citadel who fired on Fort Sumter were not responsible for the carnage that resulted from their actions? I guess the Muslim terrorists who continue to rain down rockets on Israel bear no responsibility for the carnage in Gaza. The way the ill-informed and the mentally deficient attempt to revise the facts never ceases to amaze me.
Precisely the thoughts (often expressed on this forum) of this Conservative Kentuckian. As we approach November, I am becoming firmer in my resolve to see McConnell dumped. If Obama had been referring to McConnell when he said: "...at some point you've made enough money...") he would at least have had one thing right during his tenure. Those of us in Kentucky know McConnell did not "make" his fortune, it has been handed to him for his vote and influence used against the public and the country.

Comment is meaningless without some context. What time frame are you referring to? Black poverty rate has skyrocketed if you begin with the 1920's up to the early years of "The New Deal". Over the long haul, black poverty has NOT remained roughly the same. It has increased almost exponetially as a result of Liberal's efforts.
And all those good Democrats who continue to marginalize minorities, destroy their families and deny them a quality education? I guess they must be Republicans under the sheets.

Sherman and Truman knew how to end wars and the resulting slaughter. War is hell and there will always be thousands of innocent lives lost. That didn't seem to matter to the CSA or the Japanese Empire who started those respective atrocities. That is until Sherman and Truman unleashed the "Scorched Earth" tactic. Result: War over, the killing stopped. Netanyahu needs to "March to the Sea" and end this slaughter once and for all.
"we must realize the historical pattern of things usually gets real frickin’ bad before it gets better." (Yes, and “…the historical pattern of things usually gets real frickin bad before…” annialation! Whatever happened to Prussia, Austria-Hungary, the German Empire of the 1800’s and early 1900’s. To go back further – there was the Assyrian Empire, the Hittite Empire, and Ancient Egypt. In the Western world there was Athens, Sparta and Macedonia followed by the Roman Empire. On our own continent there were the Myans as well as the Aztec and Incan empires. Things got “real frickin’ bad” for all of these world powers but I don’t think a case can be made that it ever got better for any of them!) jh
I doubt that even Byron York realizes that the the very valid points and issues he points out in this article may in fact be the preliminary death knell of the Republican Party. The much ballyhooed November turn-around may very well turn out to be a Democratic rout as many Republicans throw in the towel in disgust and stay home. Not my plan but something I see as an increasing possibility. With the additional reality that it would take a massive Republican turnout to overcome the massive Democratic fraud, even a slightly reduced "off year" turnout will be disastrous for the GOP. With the "Leadership" continuing to talk up amnesty, waving the flag of surrender on the AHCA, and seeming to be powerless to make any attempt to stop the usurpation of power, what incentive do Conservatives have to keep them in power? Again, not my course of action but one I see as a very real possibility.
