Reasoning such as yours is what is going to be putting democrats into office in the coming years in spite of the failed roll out of healthcare.gov. "1)With Obamacare, there will still be 30 million uncovered Americans! All of this trouble and expense won't ' solve the problem ' it was supposed to resolve!" -this is will largely be due to morally deficient red state governors failure to expand medicaid to the poorest of citizens in their state. Don't blame Obamacare for this one, but the hegemony of republicans working hard at every turn to put stumbling blocks in front of those who need some form of health care. "Moreover, many of the 30 million ' uninsured ' already had access to some type of medical, often at no cost. 7 million could get Medicare or Medicaid simply by applying for them. " But that still leaves another 23 million out in the cold. I hardly doubt that number would be acceptable to you if you were one of those 23 million. Also, the GOP wanting people to sign up for medicaid is so completely laughable that it is insulting to a normal person's intelligence. Otherwise all those red state governors would have expanded medicaid into their states already! "#2.The notion that people couldn't get coverage for ' pre-existing ' conditions is true but that doesn't they couldn't get a medical plan. It simply means that the pre-existing condition wouldn't be covered." No. This means *you don't get any coverage* period. I know from personal experience. I think this is the real disinformation problem going on. It's not really about a failed healthcare program, but rather a bunch of boorish president haters. Who are quite happy with obstructing any solution to any problem if the wrong person is in office. Yes, I am a RINO and very proud of that fact!
