By that standard Washington would never have been President. Or more recently, how did the average Dem or independent identify with and vote for FDR or JFK. Very few Presidents are people who connect with the "common" folk. I guess JFK's touch football photo ops did the trick. The irony is he was so doped up for his bad back that the idea that he was a jock is laughable. Still can't figure out FDR. Oh yeah, the guy before him did a miserable job when faced with a bad economy. Wait, that can't be it or Obummer would be toast.

During a press gaggle on board Air Force One this morning in Virginia Beach, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney accused Mitt Romney of "politicizing" the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in reference to pressure from the campaign to come clean about what really happened. Carney also referred reporters to an ongoing FBI investigation when asked about specifics on Libya. The problem? The FBI still isn't in Benghazi despite the administration saying repeatedly they are.
