And together we will ensure that no man or woman feels properly documented, get them to doubt their own birth certificates! This will be a snap, man. Joe McCarthy wrote the book. And he was a Republican, which will make it a breeze to iconize him amongst the base!

This has got to be the worst comment platform for having a conversation on the Internet. How am I supposed to write inflammatory comments that keep us divided as a nation? As this rate we're more likely to talk to our neighbors and see eye to eye with each other, than to actually follow up with the most heinous, ignorant response I can think of from the safety of my computer!

You're the one setting up checkpoints to verify everyone's ethnicity. How do I know you're not part of Hussein's regime? I think we need to verify this one's country of origin.

Thank you BDbruno, it's good to know that others are dealing with the "legal immigrant" problem, as I've seen so many of my friends being replaced by people who are only in the states long enough to learn how to do their job, before going back to their native country and building wealth for their nation, and of course my employer. This racist distraction in the national narrative is dividing people along legal lines without realizing that the "legal immigrants" are the ones who are actually stealing their jobs!

Where is this hatred of the working class coming from? We put all of our faith in the people who have bankrupted our country and continue to pilfer our wealth, while attacking those who have come here seeking a better way of life. Such a distortion of American Values makes me yearn for a true Conservative who understands what this country was founded upon -- not hatred of any race or religon, but the promise of liberty, freedom, and just for all.

This country is not against immigrants for sure. There are plenty of immigrants who work in my office, training to do my job, and then going back over seas to work in their own country for wages that are unsustainable wages in the US. These are not the people who we are talking about, the ones who are actually stealing our jobs. We're talking about people who have come to our country seeking liberty and freedom from the violence that is gripping their nation. Before you call me ignorant again, I would ask if you know the difference between liberty and opportunism. Because the one is what this great nation was founded upon, and the other is what is destroying it.

How did a nation of immigrants become so intolerant of immigrants? We came here seeking liberty, to be free from the oppression of King George. This is what makes America exceptional, in the words of John McCain, that we are not bound together by race or religion, but by our laws, our Constitution. To criminalize people simply because of their immigrant status is the most un-American thing I can imagine, for what was this country founded upon but the promise of a free nation?
