Obama is in the process of disarming America.

Exactly right on. The GOP with George Bush in charge had the majority and could have done all the right things to get our fiscal house in order and they did nothing but over spend and start wars we couldn't win. And most of these clowns are still in office. What a joke. The Tea Party needs to get it's act together - and start selling their message and distancing themselves from the Religious right who will drag the pary down.

The Republican party is going to continue to fail unless they drop their social platform and become more libertarian. The Generations coming up are not religious and think gay marriage is fine. That is the only way to capture more votes. Religious conservatives are clinging to the past and are really harming the party's ability to get their fiscally conservative message out. I spoke to many Democrats that refuse to vote Republican based on their social agenda.

Career politicians who don't live in the real world control everything. If I see one more 90 year old in congress telling me what is good for me, I am going to puke. Who continually votes for the same congressman over and over? Hello, Hawaii? 50 years in congress is really the problem.

I worked in the film business just out of college. We worked flat rate 14-16 hours days routinely for a nice amount of money. I always saw these guys just standing around doing nothing. I asked who they were and they said, Teamsters. We couldn't even run to the corner in our own vehicle to get bagels. We had to call the Teamster Boss and they would send someone and we would get driven. It was ridiculous. And they got double triple over time starting at 5 pm....they weren't even necessary because I also worked on very efficient non-union shoots with half the people where people could actually drive themselves places. Many of these unions are a just a scam under the premise of fairness..

I've been a republican all my life and they have done nothing but tax and spend and then pretend to be fiscally conservative. Both parties are a joke when it comes to managing the budget.

Why is Defense off the table for spending cuts. Surely they are wasting lots of money. It is run by the Government after all.

It already happened. Look at Miami. Corrupt government, crime ridden streets, bars on every window like in South America, rude freeloaders and everyone out for themselves. And that was what I remember back in the 1980s when I left....

The economy isn't going to turn around because nobody is getting married, having kids, building houses etc. Everyone is waiting until they are 30+ to start, as opposed to back in the 50s and 60s when it was every 20 years....

Christmas was hijacked a long time ago by the commercial, business world which promotes gifts and Santa Claus over religion. So, for many, it is not about jesus and never was. I don't think sin and God, etc are even in the equation. I feel you pain. I lived in Miami before the entire city and culture was hijacked by Cubans. Very sad to see what you love and cherish disappear.
