What about those who are just ignorant of history, such as our President?
The Japanese surrender aboard the U.S.S. Missouri was first signed by Japanese Foreign Minister Mamoru Shigemitsu, then Chief of the Japanese Army General Staff Yoshijiro Umezu. There were others and then the various Allied brass signed the documents.
Emperor Hirohito never left the Imperial Palace during the Surrender Procedings, which lasted only 23 minutes.
Possibly President Obama should have studied more American/Western History and less Marxist theory...
